Austin Odhiambo’s solo strike was enough for Gor Mahia to beat Bandari FC 1-0 in a FKF Premier League game staged on Friday at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
The goal, which came three minutes from time, arrived just minutes before the visitors were reduced to ten men after defender Brian Odera was shown his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

The win took Mahia’s points tally to 34, five above second-placed Posta Rangers who had beaten Ulinzi Stars 2-0 a day earlier. Bandari drops to sixth on the log with 26 points with their sorry head to head outing against Gor continuing; the dockers having last beaten the league champions in 2018.
In another match of the day, Nairobi City Stars continued with their brilliant outing with a 1-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz away in Bukhungu.
Wycliffe Omondi struck the only goal of the match with the win lifting the Nicholas Muyoti men to fifth on the log with 27 points the same points as Homeboyz who have a superior goal difference.
