AFC Leopards’ surge to the upper echelons of the FKF Premier league table continued on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Nairobi City Stars at the Bukhungu Grounds on Sunday 21st January 2024.
City Stars had done well in containing their hosts to a goalless draw in the first half but broke two minutes after resumption Maxwell Otieno breached their defence to slot the opener. While Leopards prodded, they were to lose Clifton Miheso to injury with his pace taken by Kevin Kimani.

The substitution was a blessing in disguise as Kimani was to double their lead in the 74th minute to consolidate Ingwe’s win. The win was Leopards third on the trot with the club now placed 10th on the log with 24 points.
In other games of the day, Tito Okello bagged a brace as Police FC emerged 2-0 winners over Nzoia Sugar FC. The win propels Police to sixth on the log with 30 points with Nzoia still placed bottom of the pile with 13 points after 19 games.
Earlier on Bidco United beat FC Talanta 5-2 with Posta Rangers beating Muranga Seal 1-0 thanks to Brian Marita’s 75th minute strike.
