Posta Rangers held Kenya Police FC to a scoreless draw in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League game staged at Machakos Stadium on Saturday.
Police came to the game on a back of a morale boosting win over Gor Mahia and things seems to have been working their way when Rangers were to be reduced to ten men after just six minutes when Ivan Ochieng was given a straight red card for a rash challenge on Tito Okello.
Rangers however weren’t going to give up easily despite the setback and resorted to sitting back something they did diligently for the rest of the game. The result came despite Police making a few changes to tilt the game in their favour where Tyson Otieno and Rashid Toha were to be thrown in to replace Kenneth Muguna and Baraka Badi.
The draw see Police maintain their fourth position on the log before City Stars took Bandari FC in another league game set for Saturday at the Mbaraki Grounds. Rangers are still two points ahead of the law enforcers and will be hoping for a change of fortunes in the coming games after roping in a few new faces in the January window that ended this week on Thursday.
