Tusker FC started the FKF Premier League campaign on an unconvincing note but that has since changed with the club now placed second on the table.
While they are seven points below leaders Gor Mahia, midfielder David Odoyo has urged his teammates to keep the momentum having won all their last five games; a streak he feels gives them a chance in the title race.

“We are thankful for the victory we picked (against AFC Leopards) more specifically because we played according to how we planned and everyone gave a good effort. We wanted to get the three points and we really pushed and worked till the final whistle. We want to continue that way even in the next game,” Odoyo is quoted by the club’s portal.
“It is a massive boost to win five games in a row and it shows the good spirit we have had. Everyone wants to put in an effort and try to achieve our targets of fighting for the league title.”
Odoyo further hailed his partnership with new Harambee Stars recruit Chris Erambo stating that their relationship outside the pitch has been a huge factor in the understanding on it.
“We usually encourage each other on the pitch and off the pitch. We push each other to improve in every game because we want to achieve good things at the end of the season and if any of us is named as young player of the season it would be a huge plus,” noted Odoyo.
Tusker has a date with Kakamega Homeboyz in the FKF Cup when they resume action after the FIFA International break.
