Nairobi City Stars emerged 3-0 winner over Murang’a Seal in an FKF Premier League game staged at the Police Sacco Stadium earlier on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, City Stars were to take the lead in the 54th minute through Mohamed Bajaber’s penalty; the midfielder sent keeper Boniface Munyasa the wrong way after Samuel Kapen had been brought down in the Seal’s box.

They were to double their lead two minutes later through Dennis Oalo who finished a swift counter attack that had been instigated by Kapen after Seal had gone to look for an equalizer.

The setback saw coach Abdalla Juma make a triple substitution for Seal where Kipkurui, Kapchanga and Maruti went off for Kamau, Awita and Odada but things got from bad to worse for the visitors when Ali Yusuf received his marching orders for a last-man tackle on Newton Ochieng that saw City Stars earn a second penalty which was tucked in by Yuto Kusaba.

At Mumias Sports Complex, hosts Kakamega Homeboyz rallied from a goal down to hold Kariobangi Sharks to a 1-1 draw.

Moses Shikanda gave Sharks a 22nd-minute lead but Homeboyz responded almost immediately through Shafiq Batambuze whose free kick was too much for keeper Sebastian Wekesa to handle.
