Nzoia Sugar FC’s association with the FKF Premier League has ended following their 0-1 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz in a game played earlier on Wednesday 15th May 2024 at the Mumias Complex.
The all-important goal in the match was gabbed by Nicholas Kipkirui in the second half with the win propelling the Patrick Odhiambo side to 7th on the log with 44 points.
Unfortunately, the game marked the end of Nzoia’s association with the Kenyan top-flight football having been around for six years following their return in 2017. The team has performed dismally this season where they have only picked four wins in the entire season and have recorded just 18 points.
The loss was their 20th of the season, the most of any team in the league this season, and will be hoping to leave with honour as they have two remaining games between City Stars, Ulinzi Stars and Muhoroni Youth.
