AFC Leopards striker Arthur Gitego is set to attend a two-week trial with Israeli club Hapoel Nof Hagalil FC.
The Times of Rwanda reports that the club has already reached out to the 23-year-old and are interested in signing him in the summer if he can impress in the trial period; the player is expected to travel to the country in the coming week.

Gitego caused a stir earlier in the year with AFC Leopards fans when he declared his intention to leave for a better club.
“I am working hard so that I can be ready when I want to go to the top club, I need to keep moving from one step to another to master my game. My goal is that, in June, I would like to change the team but of course, it has to be a top team,” he said then.
“I would love to go somewhere higher because everything is possible if you pray, fight, believe and wait for a chance. I understand that I will not end my contract here, I am confident that a team, a good team, will come and buy my contract.”
The striker whose contract with AFC Leopards will be coming to an end in January 2026 was previously linked with a move to Macedonian champions FC Shkupi, Georgian side FC Gagra, and Tunisia’s CA Bizertin.
The player who has been a consistent figure in the Rwandese national team in recent assignments has been in impressive form in his debut season Leopards, scoring 10 goals in all competitions, including five in the Mozzartbet Cup where he finished as the top scorer as they finished third.
