FKF Premier League Champions Gor Mahia will kick off their CECAFA Kagame Cup 2024 competition against Zambia’s Red Arrows.
Gor found themselves in Group B in a draw conducted on Wednesday and has since learnt the days of the ties with the tournament set to act as part of their preseason preparations as they gear to return to the CAF Champions League.

The clash against Arrows will be staged at Tanzania’s Azam Complex on 10th July 2024 from 9pm. After the opener, Gor will be up against Telkom FC of Djibouti three days later before closing the group proceedings against Sudan’s Al Hilal on 16th July from 4pm EAT.
The tournament will be a good platform for new coach Leonardo Martins Neiva who was unveiled by the Kenyan giants earlier in the week as they hope to be better in the continental scene which they missed last season due to a ban from FIFA.
It is not clear if the Gor Mahia contingent that participated in the COSAFA 2024 will be part of the tournament as they are yet to rest properly after the season ended but reports indicate that Neiva wants them to be part of the team as they plan with them.
The other notable faces who should feature in the tournament are left-back Levin Odhiambo who joined the team midway through last season but couldn’t play for Gor Mahia since he signed after the window was closed; the player eager to make an impression after a brilliant outing with Mathare United too previously.
