Goalkeeper Gad Mathews has been dropped from the Gor Mahia squad that travelled to Tanzania where they are slated to take on Fountain Gate FC on Tanzanite Day today.
Gor will be taking on the Tanzania side as part of their preseason preps as they await a test against Al Merreikh in the CAF Champions League; the test coming just days after a section of the players went on strike.

The strike saw Gor miss a trip to Nigeria where they had been invited to attend another tournament which new coach Leonard Neiva had hoped to use in knowing the abilities of his players.
Another notable name missing from the travelling squad is midfielder Austin Odhiambo who continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
All the new signings this window have however made the trip to Tanzania including Ghanaian Enock Morison, Samuel Kapen, Gedeon Bendeka, Alphonse Omija and Chris Akena.
