New Tusker FC keeper Joseph Ochuka has set a target of keeping more than 12 clean sheets in his first season with the brewers.
Ochuka was roped from Bandari on a one-year deal and having failed to concede in 12 games last season, he aims to better that outing this campaign if he is allowed to feature for the Ruaraka-based side.

“This season, my goal is to surpass that (12) number. If allowed to play, I aim to keep at least 10 clean sheets in the first half of the season,” Ochuka told the club’s media team.
The shot-stopper further revealed that he aims to follow in the footsteps of the club’s former keepers having mentioned the likes of Boniface Oluoch as his inspiration.
“When I started my career, Tusker FC boasted some of the finest goalkeepers in the country, such as Boni Oluoch, Wilson Oburu, Dunco Ochieng, Victor Onyango, and more recently, Patrick Matasi and Brian Bwire. This club has always had top-notch goalkeepers. It’s a significant challenge for me to emulate their success. My primary goal here is to win trophies and earn personal accolades while establishing myself as one of the club’s historic keepers,” he added.
Ochuka, who has previously played for KCB FC and Kariobangi Sharks, will be competing against Brian Opondo and Edwin Simiyu for the number One spot in the team starting with their weekend game against Sofapaka FC.
