Gor Mahia’s woes in the FKF Premier League continued on Wednesday as Bandari FC inflicted a 2-0 loss in a rescheduled tie staged at the Ukunda Showground in Kwale County on Wednesday.
After a goalless first half, Geoffrey Ojunga and Benja Nyamawi scored the all-important goals for the Dockers in the second half to pile more pressure on coach Leonardo Neiva who was once again whisked away from riled-up fans.

It was the third time that the coach had been targeted by fans with the same incidents taking place in their last two games against Nairobi City Stars (which they lost 0-2) and their draw against Murang’a Seal (a game they drew 2-2 after throwing a 2-goal lead).
The game wasn’t short of drama as Gor Mahia were to be reduced to ten men in the 67th minute when captain Geoffrey Ochieng was sent off following a tackle on Izzadin Ramadhan just outside the 18-yard box.
Bandari wasted no time in taking advantage of the one man when they were to take the lead through Ojunga four minutes after the red card by scoring via a free kick. Before Gor could settle, it was 2-0 with Nyamawi connecting with Ramadhan’s strong pass at the 18-yard box.
The handful of Gor Mahia fans couldn’t hold on after the second goal and they resorted to chaos a move that saw the game halted for a few minutes. The referee was to add six additional minutes to compensate for the time loss but the defending Champions couldn’t get the goals to rescue the game.
