Driven by both personal setbacks and triumphs, the young midfielder has his sights set on making an impact with the Kenya U20 national team.

Reflecting on his professional debut last season, Ramadhan recalled both the excitement and the hurdles he faced. His initial appearance was in a cup match against Bungoma All-Stars, a game that ended in a Bandari loss and left him with an injury that sidelined him for nearly four months.
“I made my top-flight debut last season, but in the FKF Cup, which we lost against Bungoma All-Stars. Unfortunately, I got an injury which sidelined me for 3 to 4 months,” he shared. Upon recovery, the teen sensation returned to play a few games, including appearances against Posta Rangers, Sofapaka, Tusker, and Talanta, reasserting his place in the team with renewed determination.
However, missing out on the final squad for the AFCON U20 qualifiers was a tough blow.
“I felt bad not making the final squad, but I had a positive talk with Coach Salim Babu, and he shared some advice with me,” he reflected. Despite keeping the coach’s guidance close to his chest, Ramadhan has found motivation in Babu’s words. He has since been focused on both personal and team performances.
“I’m hopeful that I’ll get a call-up next year and make it to the final squad right now I’m focusing on our team’s performance and my own in the league. I know if I continue to impress in the league that national team call-up will come, Inshallah.”
A recent highlight for Ramadhan was his impactful performance in Bandari’s game against Gor Mahia, where he showed a glimpse of what he can offer on the big stage. Subbed on in a pivotal moment, he earned a crucial foul that led to a free kick, expertly converted by teammate Geoffrey Ojunga.
Ramadhan didn’t stop there; he went on to assist Bandari’s second goal, scored by Beja Nyamawi, showcasing his ability to influence games.
“First, I would like to thank my head coach Ken Odhiambo for trusting me and believing in me,” he said. “I knew I was playing against a big club, but I just had to be calm and showcase my talent—that’s all.”
