FC Talanta and Nairobi City Stars recorded wins in their FKF Premier League games played earlier in the afternoon of Wednesday 27th November 2024.
Talanta came into the tie with a bad record having only recorded one win this season with many bookmakers having not given them a chance to topple the soldiers who had looked to be regaining form in recent games.

But the Jackline Juma side notched the all-important goal in the first half through Clinton Machaka; a win that gets them out of the relegation zone to 14th on the table where they have nine points just a point below Ulinzi who are now down to 12th on the table.
The Juma’s side has no time to rest as they will be up against relegation-threatened Posta Rangers who beat Bidco United on the same day and who are doing their best to get out of the relegation zone. After the Rangers game, Talanta will have dates against Gor Mahia, Shabana, Mara Sugar and City Stars in their next five games.
Ulinzi will be up against Mathare United on their next game with their opponents having suffered the same margin loss to Nairobi City Stars on the same day.
City Stars’ all-important goal against Mathare in the match that was staged at the Dandora Stadium was notched by Kelvin Etemesi two minutes after halftime.
