FKF Premier League side Kenya Police FC has settled on former Burundi national team head coach Ndayiragije Etienne as their man to take over the team.

Etienne arrives to replace Salim Babu who was sacked together with his technical bench two weeks ago with the new manager tasked with helping Police climb to the upper embers of the league table where they are currently languishing in the relegation zone.

“In the presence of our Club Chairman, Mr. Nyale Munga, Coach Etienne takes the reins to lead us into an exciting chapter of ambition and growth.

“Renowned for his expertise and winning mindset, Coach Etienne’s appointment signals our commitment to achieving excellence both on and off the pitch.”

Etienne was sacked by Burundi a month ago after two consecutive defeats against Burkina Faso during the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Apart from Burundi, the tactician was in charge of the Tanzania national team where he oversaw 13 games, winning five, losing five and drawing three.  He has previously handled Azam FC and Vital’O FC in his native Burundi.

He arrives at Police when they are currently placed second from bottom with eight points after seven games and replaces Beldine Odemba who had been installed on an interim basis and had overseen two games.
