Tusker defeated Murang’a Seal 3-1, edged out Mara Sugar 2-1, and narrowly beat Nairobi City Stars 1-0 in their latest fixtures. The back-to-back wins have bolstered their position in the league standings, with Kibwage playing a pivotal role in defence.

Reflecting on the team’s ambitions and recent form, Kibwage attributes their success to unity and the integration of new signings into the squad. He noted,

“Our goal as a club is always to win the title. The new players have now blended well with the team, which explains the positive results we’re getting. We’re fully focused on going for the championship,” Kibwage said.

For the former AFC Leopards defender, his return from injury has also been significant. The defender shared his delight in contributing to the team’s winning streak since his comeback.

“It feels great to be back after an injury setback that kept me out. What’s even better is that since my return, the club has managed to secure consecutive wins,” he added.

Interestingly, Kibwage who is a natural centre back has also deployed as a midfielder before his injury setback. On this tactical flexibility, he emphasizes his commitment to the team’s success, stating, “For me, the team comes first. Even if I’m asked to play as a goalkeeper, I’ll still give 100% for the club.”

Kibwage will be hoping that the brewers maintain their winning streak when they host Mathare United on 7th December at Dandora Stadium from 1 pm.
