Kenya Police FC emerged 1-0 winners over FC Talanta in a rescheduled Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match staged at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Wednesday 18th 2024.
Police were looking to build on the recent form where they had won four games on the trot under new coach Etienne Ndayiragije with their last outing being a win over defending Champions Gor Mahia.

They had to be wary of Talanta who are doing everything to avoid the chop this season with the Jackoine Juma-coached side having picked just three wins this season. The team proved to be a hard nut for Police in the earlier stages and were to hold the law enforcers to a scoreless first half in a tie that was proving to be cagey.
When a goal was needed, Etieene was to introduce last week’s hero Alvin Mang’eni at the start of the second half in place of the ineffective Francis Kahata. Before replacing Daniel Sakari with Baraka Badi.
Mangeni was to pop up with what proved to be the winner in the 69th minute after being put through by David Okoth; a win that now sees them hit the 23 points mark; just a point below leaders KCB FC.
Talanta remains 15th with 14 points after 14 games and are only three points off bottom-placed Posta Rangers.
