FKF Premier League faints Gor Mahia have confirmed the appointment of Sinisa Mihic as their new head coach.

The 48-year-old Croatian arrives to replace Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno who returns to his role as an assistant coach having had a mixed outing during his short stint at the club where a section of fans had called for his sacking.

But who is the new head coach who will be leading K’Ogalo from now until the end of the season?

Born in Rijeka, Croatia, the 48-year-old has an Italian passport too and arrives with a UEFA Pro Licence and is under the PFA Agency whose core players are from Africa.

Mihic’s last workstation was at four-time Kuwaiti Premier League champions Al Samiyah SC where he worked as an assistant manager for 16 days only (February 12-28 2022). He has also coached Kuwait’s Al Fahaheel (2014-2016), Al Shabab (2019-2020), and Croatia’s NK Crikvenica (January 2021-June 2021).

He has also coached Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia and was an assistant coach at both Al Nasr (Libya) and Al-Merrikh (Sudan); he spent one season each at both stations.

He arrives with Gor Mahia placed third, six points below leaders Police FC having played a game less.
