As quoted by his club’s portal, Onchwari said, “I’m incredibly thankful to have finally been given this chance to play. I’m grateful to the technical bench for believing in me and giving me the opportunity. I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long, and it’s finally here. I’ll keep working hard to make sure I stay in the team.”

The player further expressed his delight in playing the entire game and keeping a clean sheet against KCB FC as he works to make his place in the starting team permanent.

“I always knew my chance would come eventually, and I never gave up, even when I wasn’t getting minutes. I stayed patient and never had any regrets. I kept working hard and staying ready for whenever I was needed.

“Playing 90 minutes and contributing to a clean sheet, something that is so important for defenders, is a huge motivation for me to keep pushing forward,” he added.

The player will be hoping to play a starting role for the team when they come up against Go Mahia in their next game.
