AFC Leopards’ combative midfielder Mousa Oundo has signed a new two-year deal the club has confirmed.

The player joined the den in 2022 but due to lack of proper game time, he was loaned out to Kibera Black Stars in the National Super League but would only last at the club for three months before returning to his parent club.

Confirming the new deal, the club noted, “AFC Leopards is delighted to announce that our defensive midfielder, Mousa Oundo, has renewed his contract with the club for two years until January 2027.

“Oundo went to Nairobi County’s Kaloleni Primary School and joined Bukiri Boys in Busia County for his high school studies. He started his football journey at his hood team, Black Mamba, in Kaloleni. He then featured for Mathare United Under 20 team in the Kenya Premier League under 20 tournaments for two consecutive years with his team emerging winners in both editions.

“He joined AFC Leopards in June 2022 but was later loaned to Kibera Black Stars for three months. After his loan stint, he rejoined AFC Leopards SC and made his debut against Kakamega Homeboys at Nyayo Stadium on 21st December 2022.”

On his part, the player said, “I am happy to finally have extended my stay at AFC Leopards. I feel grateful to be part of the club and I always feel at home here. I am looking forward to a great season.”

Apart from Leopards and Kibera Black Stars, the player has previously featured for Mathare United, Chemilil Sugar FC, and Nairobi Stima.
