The Kenya University Sports Association (KUSA) Western Conference Playoffs commence today at Kabianga University, bringing together top university teams in a battle for national qualification.
Defending champions Maseno University will begin their title defence against Kaimosi Friends University in a Pool A clash at 9:00 AM on Pitch A. At the same time, the last edition’s finalists, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), will take on Kisii University in a Pool B encounter at Jamji Stadium.

Kaimosi Friends University will return to action for their second Pool A match against Rongo University at 10:50 AM on Pitch A. Meanwhile, Kisii University will face Great Lakes University in another Pool B fixture at Jamji Stadium.
The group stage will conclude in the afternoon with a Nyanza Region Derby in Pool A between Maseno University and Rongo University at 12:40 PM at the University Of Kabianga Pitch A. Simultaneously, Great Lakes University will battle MMUST at Jamji Stadium in the final Pool B match.
The preliminary matches will consist of two halves of 35 minutes each, with a 10-minute halftime break. On Sunday, the semifinals and finals will be played in two 40-minute halves, with a similar 10-minute break.
The two finalists will secure their spots in the KUSA Nationals Playoffs.
