“Tusker FC would like to announce that midfielder Joseph Mwangi has left the club, after a mutual agreement between the two parties,” Tusker said in a statement. “Mwangi, who joined Tusker from Nzoia Sugar at the start of the 2023/24 season, has been an important part of the team, contributing greatly both on and off the pitch during his time with us.

“We would like to thank Joseph for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to Tusker FC. His contributions have been invaluable, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

On his side, the player thanked Tusker and their fans for the support he was accorded during his stay at the club.

“I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Tusker FC, the coaches, my teammates, and the fans for their incredible support throughout my time at the club. It has been an amazing journey, and I’ve learned and grown so much.

“I’ll always cherish the memories and friendships I’ve made here. Thank you for the opportunity to represent this great club, and I wish the club continued success in the future,” Mwangi said.

There are reports that Tusker is working on bringing Ian Simiyu from Nzoia as Mwangi’s replacement.
