“Kibet and Okola have been released after mutually agreeing to the termination of their contracts. The two players joined us last season while in the NSL and played key roles in our return to the top flight,” Mathare said in the statement.
“Ogweno, who also joined us in the second tier, will play out the remainder of the season on loan at Kibera Black Stars. Lutta also departs on loan and rejoins Soy United, the team he left to join us at the start of the season. Maraga, who also joined us at the start of this season, has been loaned out to Division Two side KSG Ogopa.”
The five make it nine total players who have been released by the club before the second leg of the season.
Mathare who were held to a 1-1 draw in their last game are currently preparing to face Posta Rangers in the next tie; a club that their coach John Kamau handled in the previous season.
