Gor Mahia closed the gap on FKF Premier League leaders Kenya Police FC to three points following their 1-0 win over KCB FC on Monday morning.
The match had earlier been planned to be staged on Sunday but was called off due to the heavy rains currently being experienced in Machakos.

With Police drawing City Stars earlier in the week, Gor came into the match knowing that a win would inch them closer to their title rivals and they just did that despite facing a setback earlier in the tie when defender Kennedy Onyango had to be stretched off with the club later confirming that he had tore his fibula bones.
KCB, who came into the tie after a tough 2-2 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz, were to go behind after 33 minutes when Austin Odhiambo’s free kick evaded everyone in their defence and went past Bonphas Munyasa.
The second half produced no goal but drama as Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic was sent off after complaining about an issue in the game, a move that didn’t sit well with the match day officials.
The bankers had a better second half and nearly equalized midway through it, only for Gad Mathews, who was captaining the team on the day, to pull a great save in the 64th minute.
The win saw Gor reduce the gap between them and Police to three points, having played a game less in the league.
