Nairobi United Head Coach Nicholas Muyoti has exuded confidence in the team’s ability to down Bidco United when they face off in round four of Sportpesa League.

Bidco United hosts Nairobi United in a league match on Monday, 6 October, at the SportPesa Arena, starting at 4 pm EAT with Muyoti claiming his side will lean on the confidence gained from beating Mara Sugar. “Our confidence is high, as you know, Bidco is not consistent, but they can pull up a surprise, so we are focused on our preparation.”

The newcomers clinched a 1-0 victory against Mara Sugar FC in a Sportpesa League thriller staged at the Awendo Green Stadium on Wednesday, October 01. Coach Muyoti praised his player after stating that they played according to instructions, although they had to dig deep for the win. Muyoti was also full of respect for his opponent, admitting that they “brought their A‑game” and made the match extremely competitive.

“We really played according to instructions, though it wasn’t easy. Mara is a very good side, especially when at home, we had to dig deep for the three points. Am happy my players and management gave their all.” Muyoti said.

The solitary goal scored by Ovella Ochieng at the 50th minute after a long throw by Duncan Omalla found him unmarked in the box, gave the Naibois their first win in the league.

Coach Muyoti is also banking on the squad depth to manage the congested fixtures, including the continental assignment. “We can manage matches very well because we have the depth, we can be able to have two very good squads that represent anytime,” Muyoti said.
