English League One side Forest Green Rovers has acquired the services of Kenyan midfielder Tyler Onyango from Everton on loan until the end of the season.
Onyango spent the first half of the season at Burton Albion but was recalled by his parent club Everton this month following their struggles in the Premier League this season.

Onyango has been lured to Rover by head coach Duncan Ferguson who was appointed on Thursday by the club; the Everton club legend having handled Onyango in Everton’s academy.

“Forest Green Rovers are thrilled to announce the signing of midfielder Tyler Onyango on loan from Everton until the end of the season,” Rovers said in a statement. “The 19-year-old – who has known new Head Coach Duncan Ferguson since he was nine – has spent the first half of the season on loan at Burton Albion, but has put pen to paper on a loan deal at The Bolt New Lawn.
Capped by the England under-17s side on five occasions, Onyango has also featured four times for Everton’s first-team, making his debut for the Toffees in a win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.
Tyler will wear the number 33 during his time at The Bolt New Lawn.
