Kenyan duo of Dennis Nganga and Eric Kapaito has joined Zambia Super League side Zanaco FC on one-year deals each.
Nganga was a key member of the Gor Mahia team that won the title in the 2022/23 FKF Premier League season with coach Johnny McKinstry revealing that they couldn’t stand in the player’s way after he requested to live.

“He is 30 and there is life after football where you will spend like 60 other years. We wanted to keep him and he promised that if he wanted to stay in Kenya then he was going to extend his stay. He should have left earlier but owing to our ban we requested that he stays until the end of the season. It’s a good deal and we couldn’t stand on his way,” Mckinstry told journalist Jeff Kinyanjui on the One on One show.
Apart from Nganga, the Zambian side has also roped in the services of Kenyan striker Eric Kapaito who has been in Ethiopia with Arba Minch; the former Kariobangi Sharks striker also signing a one-year deal.
Apart from Nganga and Kapaito, Zanaco has roped in the services of Francis Mwenya, Nathan Muyambango, Douglas Silavwe, Jack Ngulube, Jonathan Manongo, Issah Kazembe, Dominic Kanda, Samuel Sikaonga and Prosper Chiluya.
The Lusaka-based side are looking to better their last season’s 13th-place finish having picked 41 points after 34 games.
