Gor Mahia striker Benson Omala is set to complete a move to Algerian top-flight side JS Saoura.

According to Sportpesa News, the current FKF Premier League top scorer will move to Saoura in a six-month loan deal with his club set to pocket over 3.5 million for the deal.

“Subject to the terms and conditions of this contract, the parties agree to the temporary transfer of the player’s federal rights to JS Saoura from 01 February 2024. The parties undertake to comply with all formalities required by the regulations of FIFA and/or the respective National Associations to complete the transfer,” the document read.

The Algerian side however confirmed that they will only make the payment after the completion of the transfer on the Transfer Matching System (TMS) and after the player conducts medical tests upon a physical visit.

“The player and the GOR MAHIA Club undertake to suspend the employment contract binding them for the duration of the loan. JS Saoura will make payment of the loan compensation only after receipt of the TMS, and the player’s physical and medical visits,” the document added.

Omala is the current league’s top scorer with nine goals after missing the Golden Boot by a whisker last term. He had previously been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates and Berkane.
