Despite Swedish tabloids linking the former AFC Leopards man with a return to Finland where HJK were said to have started negotiation with his parent club, Pepeta can confirm that Vojvodina have entered the race to sign the player.
Vojvodina finished fourth in the Serbian league last season and qualified for the UEFA Europa League where they will be up against Dutch giants Ajax in the second qualifying round of the competition later this month.
The team which is currently in preseason training finished their preparations for the new season with a game against Mladost over the weekend and are set to kick off their season away to Odzaci on 20th July 2024 just days before the Ajax game.
Vojvodina are based in Novi Sad, Serbia, the second largest city in Serbia and is currently the third oldest football club in the Serbian SuperLiga and the most successful football club in Serbia next to the rivals Crvena Zvezda and Partizan.
They use red and white for their home colours and play their matches at the 14000 capacity Karadorde Stadium.
Should he join, Sichenje will be playing alongside former TP Mazembe forward Jonathan Bolingi who is one of the few Africans in the team.
