Tanzania giants Yanga SC has confirmed the signing of Kenyan international Duke Abuya for the 2024/25 season.
Abuya joins as a free agent after ending his association with Ihefu FC in June 2024 where he had served for six months; the Tanzania club having acquired his services from Singida Fountain Gate where he had been for another six months.

In a video across all their social media pages, Yanga confirmed the Kenyan to much delight from his fans back at home.
The Tanzania Premier League Champions will be participating in the UEFA Champions this season and has so far roped in goalkeeper Aboubakar Khomeini from Singida Black Stars, right back Chadrack Issaka Boka from DR Congo’s St Eloi Lupopo, midfielder Aziz Andambwile Mwambalaswa from Singida Big Stars, Clatous Chota Chama from arch-rivals Simba SC and Prince Dube Mpumelelo from Azam FC.
Abuya is well known from his time at Mathare United where he left for Kariobangi Sharks in 2017. He had been an important player for Sharks as they participated in the CAF Confederations Cup and had been linked with Yanga then. He was to leave Sharks for Zambia’s Nkana in 2021 but returned home to represent Police FC before leaving again for Singida.
He has been a consistent name in the national team, Harambee Stars, under coach Engin Firat.
