One of the teams’ who have shown interest is Seal who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new season with 2009 league Champions Sofapaka having enquired about the player too before the appointment of Robert Matano as the new head coach; the latter’s interest having had died down.

Omala, a graduate of Kisumu Day High School, had only signed a five-month deal with ABM and his deal couldn’t be renewed since he will be turning 18 in December a move that makes him ineligible to represent the academy.

There had been plans to have him on a football scholarship in the USA earlier next year but the player has since cut ties with the agent who was to work on the move.

There are reports that Dan’s family members want him to follow in the footsteps of Benson and sign for Gor Mahia before he can be shipped for a loan move as they gauge his progress.

Dan has featured in the Chapa Dimba Tournament where many saw his prowess and was part of the Kenya Under-18 team who won silver in the 2023 CECAFA tournament.
