Ex-Tusker FC head coach Paul Nkata has been unveiled in the same capacity by Tanzania Premier League side Kagera Sugar FC on a two year deal.
Nkata steps in as the immediate replacement for Francis Baraza, who recently vacated the position, and who has been linked with numerous jobs in the country and in Tanzania.
The Ugandan led Tusker to victory in the 2016 Kenya Premier League and had stints with Nairobi City Stars, Bandari FC and Muhoroni Youth in the Kenyan top flight where he built a reputation as one of the most sought-after tacticians.
In his native Uganda, Nkata coached SC Villa, Mbarara City, URA FC, Kiira Young, and Masaka FC with his last stint being with Buhimba Saints United FC where he led them to the FUFA Big League after defeating Rwenzori Lions 1-0 in a two-legged promotional play-off final.
Kagere is currently camping in Uganda for their preseason preps where and played a friendly game with UPL Side Wakiso Giants, a side they defeated 2-0.
