Kenya Under 18 midfielder Stanley Wilson has joined Swedish giants AIK on a three-year deal the club has confirmed.
The player had a session with AIK earlier in the year during their preseason preparations and even featured in a friendly match against FK TSC Bačka Topola from the Serbian top-tier league.

In welcoming the player, the club’s Sporting Director Thomas Berntsen said; “With patience and hard work, we strongly believe that Stanley will become a top player for AIK”.
On his part, Wilson added; “I am very happy to be part of the AIK family and I look forward to fulfilling my dream of becoming Swedish champion with the club.”
Stanley had been called to the national team Harambee Stars by coach Engin Firat in September 2023 despite having played just two games in the league for Kariobangi Sharks and was named amongst the substitutes in a friendly game against South Sudan.
Apart from Sharks, Wilson had featured for Darajani Gogo in the National Super League.
The combative midfielder isn’t the only Kenyan in the books of AIK and will join compatriots Collins Sichenje and Henry Meja who have all been loaned out to Vojvodina (Serbia) and AFC Eskilstuna (Sweden) for the rest of the season.
Wilson’s attention now shifts to representing his new team where they are currently placed 8th with 29 points after 19 games and have a date against IF Bromma on Sunday in a league game.
