While the club is yet to make an official statement on the move, the player’s profile has been updated on the Transfermarket after joining them on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract with Portuguese top-flight side Estrela in June.

Omurwa had been called up to the national team earlier in the month for duties against Zimbabwe and Namibia but he left camp midway to complete this move having been linked with a move to Israel.

Omurwa joins a club that was previously coached by South Africa’s Pitso Mosimane and is currently in the nation’s second tier following their relegation from the top tier last season.

With four games gone, Abha is currently placed fifth in the league table with nine points, just a point below leaders Neom SC. Omurwa who is yet to make his debut will be hoping to do so in the club’s next tie against Al Taawuon in the King’s Cup on Wednesday 25th September.

Apart from Estrela, the center-back has previously featured for Wazito FC and Mathare United in the FKF Premier League.
