Kazakhstan Premier League side Astana have enquired about the services of Harambee Stars defender Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma.
Ouma has been a consistent figure at Polish side Rakow Częstochowa since joining them from AIK early last year. There have been reports that many teams have enquired about his availability in the last transfer window and are willing to offer a new deal in this window.

Ouma managed 11 games in his first season with Rakow and has so far made 18 appearances and Fotbolldirek reports that Astana offered around 20 Million Euros (sh 2.6B) for his services but his club rejected the offer.
The club has returned this month with another deal but Rakow is still reluctant to let the left back leave; the portal reports that there are other offers from other clubs expected to be tabled for the player before the month ends but Rakow’s management will demand a fee around 30 million (sh 4B) to let the player leave.
The reluctance to let Ouma go is said to be pinned on the club’s position in the league where they are currently sitting second, two points off leaders Lech Poznan who they believe they can topple and win the title as they fight to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Ouma who made an impressive 104 appearances for AIK, has a valid contract with Rakow until December 2026.
