Danish Superliga side IF Viborg has rejected an offer for Harambee Stars defender Daniel Anyembe who is said to need a new challenge.
According to Danish portal Tipsbladet, Swedish Allsvenskan side BK Hacken had submitted an offer for the player but Viborg rejected the offer stating that the Kenyan wasn’t for sale ahead of the resumption of the league.

The tabloid reports that Valenciennes, led by Rasmus Ankersen, tried to lure the right back to France last season but having signed a new deal with his club, Viborg felt that their offer of around six million kroner (sh 108M) in a total package wasn’t enough to let go of their assistant captain.
There are further reports that there are other clubs who have lined up offers for the player but Viborg doesn’t want to sell the player midway through the season as they work to feature in Europe. They are currently five points off the Championship round where the best six teams in the league go for a playoff where the winner qualifies for the Champions League.
Anyembe signed a new deal with Viborg in the summer of 2023 which will end in 2026 June so the club has no hurry in selling one of their most prized assets.
The player has 11 caps for Harambee Stars and has made 98 appearances for Viborg since joining them in July 2021 from Esbjerg Fb.
