Luton Town has booked a place in the English Championship final after beating Sunderland 2-0 on Tuesday night.
Luton came in the game having lost 2-1 in the first leg hosted last week but did the job and sailed on a 3-2 aggregate.

Sunderland got to the worse possible start as they conceded again within roughly 10 minutes as Luton pulled level on aggregate (2-2). Following a looping corner kick, Gabriel Osho poked home a loose ball from point-blank range to send the home fans into jubilation.

Luton Town then turned the entire semi-final around when skipper Tom Lockyer’s flying header found the net just before the break.
Sunderland tried all they can in the second half to get a goal through their stars but the home side stood their ground to make it to the playoffs. It is the first time they have ever won a playoff match at the eighth time of asking, and were playing in the Conference League in 2014.
The result means Luton Town will face either Middlesbrough or Coventry City in the playoff final at Wembley to reach England’s top flight.
