Uganda Cranes left back Mustapha Kiiza has signed for Nairobi United.

Uganda Cranes left back Mustapha Kiiza is among three players who have been unveiled by Nairobi United on Monday.

The Sportpesa League newbies have been one of the most active teams ahead of the midseason transfer window with Kiiza being joined by John Njuguna (formerly with Tusker FC) and Roy Okal who captained Sofapaka in the first half of the season.

“We are delighted to announce the arrival of Ugandan left-back Mustapha Kizza from NEC FC,” United said in a statement. “A proven Cranes international, Kizza brings experience, quality, and attacking intent down the left flank.”

Kizza arrives with a vast experience having featured for KCCA in his native Uganda before stints with Major Soccer League (MLS) side CF Montreal where he played alongside former Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama.

For Njuguna and Okal, United added, “John Njuguna an attacking midfielder joins the team from Tusker FC. He will bring a wealth of experience to the team supplementing the attacking department with goals and assists.

“The management has also brought on board Roy Okal from Sofapaka FC. The utility man will help anchor the midfield with his vast experience at the top level having also played for Mathare United.”

United who beat Shabana over the weekend are currently gearing to face AFC Leopards in their next game.
