APS Bomet managed a hard fought 2-1 win over hosts Nairobi United in a Sportpesa League game staged at Nyayo Stadium on Wednesday 4, February 2026.

Bomet looked like to be in the mood in the better part of the earlier exchanges and even hit the upright in the first minutes but it was Antony Naibei who gave them the lead towards the end of the first half much to the jubilation of their handful fans who had made it to Nyayo Stadium.

The 1-0 lead at half time by the visitors saw United increase the tempo at the start of the second half but they fell short each time they went on attack.

With Omolo sensing that the hosts were pinning them in their own half, he introduced Dickson Mwangi in place of goal scorer Naibei, a change that paid instant dividends. Just four minutes later, Mwangi found the back of the net to double Bomet’s advantage and silence the home crowd.

But the Godfrey Oduor side weren’t going to rest on their laurels and pulled a goal back through Muhadjiri Hakizimana after sustained pressure. Martin Kiiza was to hit the upright as they looked for an equalizer but Bomet stood their ground to record a win.

The win was Sammy ‘Pamzo’Omolo’s first with the Administration Police side having managed two draws and two losses since taking over the mantle of the team in December 2025.
