Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho will remain in the Tanzania Premier League after signing a two year deal with Singida Black Stars.
Aucho has been a free agent since leaving Yanga SC in June 2025 and re-unites coach Miguel Gamondi who is currently the head coach at his new station.

A statement from the club noted, “We have signed Aucho formerly of Yanga on a two-year contract. He comes with experience having featured for several clubs in the region including Yanga, Kaizer Chiefs and Gor Mahia of Kenya.”
On his part, Aucho who previously attended trials with Scottish side Aberdeen added, “It is true that I once said I will never play for any team in Tanzania, but after seeing the Singida Black Stars project, I changed my mind.
“I love competition, and Singida is a very competitive team. I know coach Gamondi, who is also a coach who lives in competitions. That is another big reason that made me agree to join Singida Black Stars.”
Aucho helped Yanga retain the Tanzania Premier League title last season where they walked home with five trophies.
The Ugandan joined Yanga from Egyptian club Makkasa in 2021 and made 21 appearances in his first season scoring twice, and in his second season he made 13 appearances.
