Shabana FC has revealed the amount they collected in their 0-1 loss to Ulinzi Stars on Saturday evening.

Shabana were the hosts of the match staged at the Raila Odinga Stadium, Homabay, and revealed that they had sold a total of 1,635 tickets in the game.

There was a total of 801 VIP tickets sold and 834 tickets for the regular fans. With the VIP tickets retailing for sh 300 each, the club walked home with sh 240000 from that section with the regular tickets earning them sh 83,400 after 834 fans bought tickets from that section. The turnout means that the Sammy Omolo charges walked with a total of sh 323,700 from ticket sales in the game.

The game was Omolo’s second since taking over the reins of the team last week where he began his tenure with a 5-2 win over Nzoia Sugar FC.

The game against Ulinzi was lost courtesy of a Masita Masuta goal in the third minute with the result leaving them at position 17 out of the 18-team league with 17 points.

Things don’t get easier for Omolo and the team as they are scheduled to take on a rejuvenated City Stars in their next game before meeting Tusker FC, Omolo’s former employers Police FC, Bandari FC, and KCB FC.
