The SportPesa League has announced the four nominees for the October Coach of the Month award.
The inaugural fete by the gaming firm seek to award the bet performing coaches in the Kenyan top flight with the October gong having attracted coaches of some of the biggest team in the division.

For reviving Tusker’s fortunes after a slow start to the season, coach Charles Okere makes the cut so is Kakamega Homeboyz’s Patrick Odhiambo, Gor Mahia’s Charles Akonnor and AFC Leopards’ Fred Ambani.
Okere enjoyed an unbeaten run in October where he started the month with a barren draw against Mathare United before holding Shabana FC to a 1-1 draw. They recorded a 1-0 win away to Murang’a Seal in their third game before wrapping the month with a 2-1 win over Kariobangi Sharks.
Odhiambo whose Homeboyz side had a stint on top of the league will hope he can win the gong having won four of their five games in the month.
Gor Mahia’s Charles Akonnor won all three matches played in October, scoring six goals and keeping three consecutive clean sheets. The edged Robert Matano’s KCB 1-0 in their first game of the month with other wins coming against Posta Rangers and Mathare United.
Ambani’s Leopards had an unbeaten run in October too having won two matches and drew two, scoring six goals and conceding four.
