The Premier League has four players in the Most Valuable First Eleven in World football according to the latest figures from the Transfermarkt.

The price tags of players is judged by age, contract length, future prospects, performances for club and country, and marketing value.

While the Premier League has four players, the other six are from Laliga La Liga including Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal who is currently valued at €200m (£173m). Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid from Liverpool is part of the team so is Erling Haaland (€180m/£156m) who is the highest-valued Premier League player.

Manchester City teammate Josko Gvardiol (€75m) is joined in defence by Arsenal centre-back William Saliba (€80m). New Liverpool signing Florian Wirtz, signed for a British record this summer, is included in midfield.
Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa is the only player from outside of Europe’s top five leagues to make the most valuable team.
