Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere has insisted that his team is ready to face Shabana despite missing three key players for the tie.
The brewers wont be without Saphan Oyugi, Bryan Ogam and Chris Erambo, the latter two currently with the national team in Zanzibar with the former having left the club for Tanzania Premier League side Kagera Sugar FC.

While the club fans have been worried ahead of the league resumption, Okere feels that he has capable players ready to fill the roles left by the trio.
“We will miss our three players (Ogam, Erambo and Siwa). But the two who are at the national team are doing well and we are happy for them. We want to send more players to the national team as it will be a motivation for other players,” Okere said to the club’s media team. “Football is a team sport and this is an opportunity for other players to showcase what they can do in the trio’s absence.”
On playing away from home and in front of the vociferous Shabana fans, Okere insisted that they were ready for those adversities and will be looking for three points as they work on going top of the league.

“For us, we have been playing our matches away from our home ground which is Ruaraka so we are physiologically prepared because most of the time we get maximum points when we play away, he added. “Playing in front of Shabana fans is a motivation for us. We have our plan and that’s what we are going to stick to. We will be gunning for a win and that would give us 30 points and see us go top of the table.”
With KCB, Gor Mahia and Kenya Police FC not being in action, Tusker who are placed second, have the same number of points as leaders KCB and even a draw would see them go top.
