Betis were the better side in the first half and deservedly went ahead through Abde Ezzalzouli in the 9th minute; a lead they were to protect until half time. But with Chelsea making changes in the second half, they equalized through Enzo Fernandez who headed a brilliant Cole Palmer cross. The Englishman was involved soon after, twisting and turning and putting in another superb cross, this one bundled in off the shoulder of Nicolas Jackson.
Jadon Sancho put the match to bed with just under ten minutes remaining, cutting inside onto his right foot and curling a stunning finish into the top corner for the Premier League side’s third before Moises Caicedo put the final nail on Betis coffin with a stoppage time goal.
