The Engin Firat-coached side’s three points come after losing to Gabon and beating Seychelles and are set to play in a four-nation tournament later this month in Malawi as part of preparations towards the forthcoming qualifiers.
But how are Stars’ opponents preparing towards the same qualifiers in the forthcoming International Break?
Seychelles
Nothing is known yet about the Group F weeping boys as there are no friendlies that have been scheduled for their national team by the Seychelles Football Federation.
In the next qualifiers, they will be up against Gambia before hosting Burundi between June 3rd and 10th June.
Burundi
The nation has two planned friendlies later this month against Madagascar and Botswana. Burundi will face Madagascar on March 22nd, 2024 at the Kianja Barea Mahamasina Stadium and will be up against Botswana three days later.
Burundi will be in Kenya on June 3rd 2024 before flying to take on Seychelles seven days later
The Gambia
Just as Seychelles, Gambia has no planned friendlies in the next FIFA break. Their concentration seems to be in the All Africa Games where their Under20 team is part of the competition currently ongoing in Ghana.
They take on Seychelles on June 3rd 2024 before travelling to Gabon seven days later.
Gabon
Considered one of the favorites in the qualifying group, Gabon are taking no chances with their preparations as they have a date against Senegal and DR Congo at the end of the month. The game against Senegal will be at Stade de la Licome on Friday 22nd March before hosting Congo three days later at the Stade des Marais.
In the Qualifiers, they travel to Ivory Coast on June 3rd before hosting Gambia seven days later.
Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast will be playing Benin in front of their home fans for the first time since winning the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday 23rd March before travelling to face South America’s giants Uruguay at the Stade Bollaert Delelis three days later.
