Ulinzi Starlets will meet Vihiga Queens in the finals of the FKF Women Cup after seeing off Kisumu Allstarlets 4-2 in the semi-finals staged at Moi Stadium-Kisumu on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

 

Neddy Akoth gave the soldiers a 32nd-minute lead but the hosts restored parity five minutes later as both teams headed for the breather tied on a 1-1 draw.

Starlets threatened to tear the form book when Monica Etot gave the hosts the lead three minutes after resumption but Neddy once again came to her team’s rescue with the equalizer two minutes later.

 

Lucy Mukhwana gave the visitors a 59th minute lead with Neddy putting the game beyond the hosts with her hattrick and Ulinzi’s fourth fifteen minutes from time.

 

The win means Ulinzi will be up against CECAFA giants Vihiga Queens who beat Kayole Starlets 3-0 in the other semifinal staged on the same day at the Nairobi’s Ruaraka Grounds.

 

Queens scored her goals from Janet Bundi who bagged a brace and Jentrix Shikangwa’s penalty.
