Harambee Starlets midfielder Corazone Aquino was on the scoresheet as Simba Queens rallied from a goal down to hold arch-rivals Yanga Princess to a 1-1 in the Kariokor Derby staged at the Mkapa Stadium on Thursday 22nd, 2022.
The game had five Kenyans in Aquino, Ruth Ingosi and Jentrix Shikangwa for Simba with Yanga having the duo of defender Wincate Kaari and Foscah Kanenga. While Ingosi and Shikangwa started the game, Aquino was called upon to come from the bench. Both Wincate and Foscah both started for Yanga.

Nigerian midfielder Wogu Success gave Yanga the lead in the first half after converting a Kaari corner in the dying minutes of the first half but Aquino was to ensure a share of the spoils with a screamer in the 58th minute. The draw means the arch-rivals are both on four points after three games.
On Wednesday, Starlets striker Cynthia Shilwatso scored her third goal in as many games as Fountain Gate Princes, who are currently on top of the standings with nine points ran 2-0 winners over Mkwawa Queens.
