It was the first competitive match for Salvia since being eliminated from the UEFA Women’s Champions League in December 2022 where their last match was a 0-3 loss to AS Roma on 22nd December 2022.

The team had been in preseason training for two months where they were involved in a series of friendlies to sharpen their claws ahead of the second half of the season where they are currently second on the league table with 28 points after 11 games.

There is no time for rest as Nekesa and her teammates will be hoping to carry the same form when they return to league action on Saturday 11th March 2023 against Slovacko. After the tie against Slovacko, Praha will have another date with Ostrava in the league in the coming weekend.
