Harambee Starlets attacker Cynthia Shilwatso has finally arrived in Ukraine to join her teammates at FC Kryvbas Women.

Shilwatso had signed for the club back in March from Tanzania side Fountain Gate Princes but couldn’t travel to Ukraine due to logistical issues emanating from the political tension in the country.

On Wednesday, her club that they had finally received the player and would attend her first training on the day after meeting her teammates for a formal introduction.

“Cynthia Musungu Shilvatso arrived in Kryvyi Rih. The player had signed her contract in March but due to certain bureaucratic and logistical difficulties she couldn’t travel to the country but she has finally joined Vladimir Efimako’s team,” a statement from the team noted.

The player has a wealth of experience having spent time in Spain with EDF Logrono where she played in the country’s top flight before their relegation two seasons ago. She was to be signed by Fountain Gate late last year on a short deal.

She was called up to the Harambee Starlets team that was set to meet Albania in a friendly match last month but the friendly didn’t materialize.
