Harambee Starlets striker Marjolene Nekesa came off the bench as Slavia Praha fought to a goalless draw against St. Polten in a UEFA Women Champions League clash staged on Wednesday night.

The Kenyan was introduced in the 88th minute for Krivska as the visitors tried to look for the elusive goal to earn them maximum points but that wasn’t to be the case in the evening.

It was the first point picked by the Czech Republic side in their group after falling in their first two games against Brann and Olympique Lyon.

The hosts almost took the lead in the 36th minute when they rattled the crossbar with the subsequent shot blocked by Lucie Bendová but Praha stood strong to force the game into a draw at halftime. The positive news was the return of Tereza Szewieczková who came off the bench to play her first match after an absence of more than eight months.

There is no rest for Praha as they are scheduled to face Polten in the second leg in a fortnight with both teams on one point. The Group has Lyon as the leader with 9 points with Brann placed second with six points.
